Sigittal Expander

The Sagittal appliance is designed lengthen the arch by moving the molars distally or advancing the anterior section. It is frequently used to help reduce crowding. place expansion screws along the sagittal plane, parallel to both the left and right sides, and you can also add a screw on either. As with any expansion appliance, we recommend maximum retention using Adams clasps on the 6’s (if they have erupted) and ball clasps between the premolars. Additionally, a labial bow can be incorporated to manage the anterior incisors, while a posterior bite plate can be used to disarticulate the arches, providing extra anchorage for the upper appliance.
