Band & Loop

The band and loop is a fixed appliance commonly used to maintain space following premature loss of a primary tooth. It consists of a stainless steel molar band and a wire loop extending into the edentulous area. Its primary function is to preserve arch length by preventing mesial or distal drift of adjacent teeth, ensuring proper eruption of the succedaneous permanent tooth.
