Distal shoe

A single band, featuring a distal extension that passes through the tissue, can assist in guiding the eruption of the six-year molar when the primary second molar is lost early. To ensure proper placement of the guide, either send an x-ray or mark the mesial edge of the six-year molar on the model. Additionally, specify the intended depth of the shoe that will extend under the tissue to engage with the erupting tooth.
