The Trans-Palatal Arch is used to maintain transverse stability of maxillary molars during or after orthodontic tooth movement. It reinforces anchorage, prevents molar drift, and can be activated for molar rotation or minor transverse correction. When combined with TADs, the TPA enables controlled, en-masse molar movement to optimize biomechanical efficiency.
